More than 300 people attended Birkey’s grand re-opening open house and fish fry Feb. 22 at its Mattoon, Ill., location.

The Mattoon facility has undergone a complete remodel, which involved the demolishing of the west end of the building and installation of a new 90 ft. (27 m) by 120 ft. (36.6 m) shop, as well as a new service manager office, salesman offices and expanded parts showroom.

“We had a great turnout for our grand re-opening house, especially considering the winter storm on the 21st,” said Don Spence, manager.

To express their appreciation to the customers who attended, door prizes and Parts Discount Days specials were given out, which lasted through March 16th, ending in a drawing for a new Case IH Scout RTV.

Birkey’s has been in business for more than 55 years with a focus on serving the agricultural community. The company serves the Illinois communities of Annawan, Galesburg, Macomb, Gibson City, Hoopeston, Bloomington, Oakland, Polo, Prophetstown, Urbana, and Williamsport, Indiana.
