Compact equipment operators needing to seed, fertilize or spread sand and salt on driveways, sidewalks and parking lots in the winter can use spreader attachments from Bobcat Company, a business of Ingersoll Rand.
The Bobcat SP5 spreader attachment, which has a 5.75-cu. ft. (4.4 cu m) hopper that can be loaded from the back of a dump truck, can spread virtually any dry, free-flowing granular material quickly and easily. The spreader can be used to spread seed and fertilizer for lawn care, sand and salt for winter maintenance.
The SP5 spreader provides a weather-tight, variable-speed 12-volt DC motor that allows the operator to vary spreading patterns from 4 to 40 ft. (1.2 to 12 m). The spinner wheel rpm is regulated from the operator’s seat by a rotary dial mounted in the loader cab.
An optional truck mounting kit allows for mounting the spreader to a pickup truck, instead of a loader. Other optional equipment includes an adjustable deflector, gate assembly kit and vibrator kit.
The SP12 spreader attachment is specially designed for use on the Toolcat 5600 utility work machine. With a 0.5 yd. (0.45 m) capacity hopper, the corrosion-proof, all-poly unit mounts in the cargo box. A dash-mounted control adjusts the auger and spinner to spread material from 5 to 40 ft. (1.5 to 12 m).
