Boggs Joins CAGC as Safety Director

Kenny Boggs has joined the staff at Carolinas Association of General Contractors (CAGC) as its new safety services director.

In this position, Boggs will be responsible for helping the organization promote general construction safety in North and South Carolina, as well as work with CAGC members to develop safety programs.

He will also be the Carolinas AGC’s voice in any responses to proposals from OSHA and other regulatory agencies that oversee aspects of the construction industry.

CAGC members can call Boggs with questions regarding safety and he will be there to assist anyone who has received an OSHA citation.

Boggs has spent the last five years with Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District as its safety officer.

Prior to that, he managed safety for the $400 million Gateway Village in Charlotte as the liaison among the owner, contractor and insurer.

Boggs has earned the Associate Safety Professional designation, as well as undergraduate and masters degrees in safety and health from Marshall University.
