Budget Equipment Rental Co. moved into a new facility May 1 in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Founded in 1999 in Ft. Lauderdale, it provides equipment rentals, sales and service for Snorkle, JLG, Kobelco, used Caterpillar equipment and Komatsu excavators. A majority of its business — approximately 80 percent — comes from rentals.
Owned and managed by Zak Grosser and Scott Daiagi, the company has 15 employees.
Grosser said the company outgrew its old location and picked the Pompano Beach location for more visibility along Interstate 95.
“Our real advantage is that we are a family owned and operated company,” Grosser said. “Our motto is, ’We never say no.’”
He said the company was built the “old-fashioned way, through hard work, affordable pricing and the best service possible.”
The new location includes 9 acres of outdoor storage and a 14,000 sq. ft. service center, 10,000 sq. ft. of which is the shop. The rest is office space. It sits on the west side of I-95 and has a fleet of more than 300 machines.
Daiagi said Budget is looking to expand into other regions like Texas, to take advantage of the oil boom; Oklahoma, to cater to the natural gas industry; and Louisiana, to be in place for contractors rebuilding that area after Hurricane Katrina.
