Washington County Fair Grounds played host to the fourth annual Tri-County Oil & Gas Expo in Washington, Pa., on May 18 and 19. The event kicked off with a Marcellus Mingle exclusive networking social on May 18. Also held at the fairgrounds, this evening event featured food, drink and entertainment along with an opportunity to meet with professionals in the oil and gas industry.

The annual Expo is designed to focus on business opportunities within Fayette, Greene and Washington counties, along with the entire region, as a result of energy resources developments within the Marcellus Shale play. Introduced by Community Bank, the Expo has grown into a joint venture comprised of representatives from local government, private businesses and educational institutions.

The group also is planning a Tri-County Oil & Gas Employment Expo to be held June 8; a Tri-County Oil & Gas Business to Business Expo to be held on Sept. 7; and a Marcellus Health & Safety Summit on Sept. 23.
