Construction Equipment Guide’s (CEG) Auction Results Page is a new addition to the CEG Web site.

The Auction Results Page allows users to gain access to the results of thousands of recent auctions held across the United States. This new feature includes a database of thousands of pieces of equipment. It also was designed to make the process of searching auction results both streamlined and detailed at the same time.

“We recognized the need for our readers to have access to the latest auction results from all over the United States,” said Rob Tredinnick, head of the Web department of CEG. “What we’ve done with this feature is given Web users the ability to quickly find the results of hundreds of auctions in a variety of ways.”

Users can choose one of two methods to search the Auction Results Page: The first method is to simply browse the Results Section by Equipment Type and then drill down by Manufacturer. The second method uses the Auction Search Page’s powerful database to enter a host of options in the search. Users can search the database by entering specific Model Numbers, Hours/Miles, Price, Year, location of auction by zip code, to list a few methods.

Allowing users a choice of how they want to find their results was a key component of the page.

“We wanted the best of both worlds,” said Tredinnick. “This is a large amount of data to be searched. By keeping it simple, we allow users to cut through all the data to get exactly what they want. But we also knew that many people will have very specific searches, so we also allowed for that as well.”

The database itself contains equipment culled from auctions across the country. Categories include Aerial Lifts, Cranes, Backhoe Loaders, Excavators, Hydraulic Breakers, Skid Steer Loaders, and much more. The manufacturers listed include Caterpillar, Liebherr and Terex, to name just a few.
