Cleveland Brothers, of central and western Pennsylvania, recently opened a new facility in Brownstown, Lancaster County, PA, to provide a full-service plant for sales, rental and service of Caterpillar and other manufacturers’ equipment.

The new 40,000-sq.-ft. facility, located at 4326 Oregon Pike, puts a modern sales and service facility in one place. It includes six machine repair bays to service customer machines and rental fleets, a rental store for Caterpillar machines and other equipment, eight truck repair bays, a fully stocked parts warehouse and a separate, heated, eco-friendly truck wash building that is an additional 6,000 sq. ft.

The region’s growth potential prompted Cleveland Brothers to build the new facility, an upgrade from the company’s former 1,500-sq.-ft. parts building. The Brownstown facility increases Cleveland Brothers’ presence in the area, creating 38 new jobs and expanding the company’s customer-service capabilities.

Cleveland Brothers’ customers include builders of homes and businesses, municipal governments and landscapers. The company provides engines for trucks, plus generators, scissor lifts, hydraulic systems and other equipment that help warehouses, health care facilities, and offices to run smoothly.

“The new facility gives Cleveland Brothers the capacity and agility to meet any challenge our Lancaster-area customers bring to us,” said Tom Kirchhoff, executive vice president and CEO.

Guests at the new facility’s dedication included top officials from Caterpillar headquarters in Peoria, IL, including Dave Noelken, manager of Caterpillar Inc.’s North American Commercial Division — Eastern and Canadian Region.
