Four generations of the Clay family welcome the Mayor of Virginia Beach, Will Sessoms, to the event. Each guest was given an all-purpose bag filled with cups, pens, key chains, writing tablet and other nice items. Tom Buckner (L), Coastal Equipment Corporation, goes over the John Deere 750K LGP dozer with Harry Blazer, Vanguard Contractors, Paducah, Ky. Vanguard is in the area working on  projects at Langley and needed more dozers  for the project. Bobby Jeter (L), M&W Construction, Virginia Beach, Va., is welcomed by Jeff Clay, president of Coastal Equipment Corporation. Larry Atwood, Tidewater Utilities, Virginia Beach, Va., and Suzi Wright, Coastal Equipment Corporation, discuss the John Deere 85D excavators. Tidewater Utilities has several of them on rent from Coastal. Wally Wallace, E.V. Williams Inc., in Virginia Beach, Va., just purchased two new 750K Deere dozers from Coastal Equipment to go with the 17 others his company is using. With Wally are Suzi Wright (L), and  Julie Clay Burns.

Coastal Equipment Corporation held an open house at its Virginia Beach, Va., location on Oct. 17 and at its Yorktown, Va., location on Oct. 18.

Many machines were on display, a hearty lunch was served and door prizes were given away with a large flat screen television being the grand prize.
