Construction Equipment Guide

Earlier this year Cobalt Truck Equipment opened its fourth location, in Las Vegas, after purchasing the assets of Nevada Truck Equipment. At about the same time, in Idaho, Cobalt Truck moved into a new 7-acre, 60,000-sq.-ft. facility in Nampa, which includes a new lean manufacturing line and a 5,000-sq.-ft. building which is providing painting for all vehicles.

The growth gives Cobalt Truck Equipment full service operations in Spokane, Wash.; Nampa, Idaho; Portland, Ore.; and, Las Vegas, Nev.

“Our goal is to offer only the finest products, backed by the very best in customer service and after-sale support — and we mean it,” owner Don Duncan emphasized.

“Last year we had to turn away orders because we did not have the capacity. But our new, large, Nampa facility and our added sales and service presence in Las Vegas have allowed us to promptly meet our customers’ needs.”

Industrial and utility clients come to Cobalt Truck Equipment for their custom service trucks, and heavy equipment dealers. The company has one of the largest stock of IMT bodies, cranes and parts in the western United States.

Duncan started the company almost 13 years ago with 12 employees and one location and it has grown to more than 100 employees and four locations.

Cobalt Truck Equipment delivered more than 200 fully equipped mechanics trucks last year and also provides lube trucks, service bodies, platforms, vans, liftgates and compressors.
