At its annual meeting on Oct. 27, 2004, the Delaware Contractors Association (DCA), in conjunction with the Delaware Department of Labor, presented the Governor’s Safety Awards for the fourth consecutive year to construction companies in Delaware.

This year’s awards presented to Bancroft Construction Company, EDiS Company, George & Lynch Inc., and Kuhn Construction Company.

This awards program was established to recognize and emphasize the importance of safety in the construction industry by acknowledging those companies who have led the way in promoting safety in the workplace. The applications were evaluated utilizing the following criteria: frequency rate of total recordable incidents; safety program’s documentation; policy and management support; training and orientation; work rules; and administration and procedures.
