DCA Announces Recipients of Its 2003 Academic Scholarships

The Delaware Contractors Association (DCA) has announced the recipients of its scholarship awards for the 2003 academic year.

• Theodore C. Lindell Jr. received a $1,000 scholarship for the third consecutive year to continue his studies at the University of Delaware. Lindell enters his Junior year, majoring in engineering technology.

• Michael T. Shannon received a $1,000 scholarship for the second year. Shannon is a sophomore at the University of Delaware. He is majoring in business administration.

Lindell and Shannon both attended Salesianum School and live in the Wilmington area.

• Kristen M. Cannatelli started her freshman year at the University of Delaware. She received a $1,000 scholarship and will major in civil engineering. Cannatelli is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and lives in Lewes, DE.

• Joseph M. Stetter received a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he will major in construction management. Stetter attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology for the past two years. He is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and lives in Williamsport, PA.

John R. Eisenbrey Jr., president of the DCA, stated, “DCA is honored to provide support and nurturing to assist these students to develop to their full capacity.”

Francis Julian, chair of the board of trustees of the Scholarship Trust Fund remarked, “Since its inception in 1991, the DCA Scholarship Trust has awarded over $30,000 to students based on academic status, field of study and need. These students are the most valuable, fundamental resource of the future of our industry.’

The Delaware Contractors Association is a 300 member organization dedicated to promoting the highest level of standards and ethics throughout construction in Delaware, enhancing quality of life, and educating students about the professional opportunities within the industry.
