Yellow house Machinery
Established in 1958 by J.E. Hancock, Yellowhouse Machinery is the oldest John Deere construction dealership west of the Mississippi (at the time of Yellowhouse Machinery’s founding, there were no strictly John Deere construction dealerships; all others were a combination agriculture and construction.)
J.E. Hancock created Yellowhouse Machinery also in part so that he could sell his Hancock Elevating Scrapers, which he manufactured.
In 1960, Hancock sold Yellowhouse Machinery to Joe Thompson and Morris Kerr.
Yellowhouse Machinery Expansion
By 1986, the company expanded to the Texas Panhandle when it bought Deckard Equipment Company in Amarillo. Mike Kerr, Morris Kerr’s son, led the venture.
In 1991, John Kritser purchased Yellowhouse Machinery from Morris Kerr, Joe Thompson and Mike Kerr.
Yellowhouse Machinery expanded again in 2001 when the company opened southern Texas dealerships in Abilene and Odessa. A few years later in 2005, the company opened another branch in San Angelo and in 2011, Yellowhouse Machinery built a new facility in Wichita Falls. The year 2011 also saw the company purchase three dealerships in Tulsa, Enid and McAlester, Okla.
In addition to these facilities, Yellowhouse Machinery Company has branches in Lubbock, Texas, and Broken Bow, Okla.
Yellowhouse Machinery Product Lines
In addition to John Deere, Yellowhouse Machinery also carries Hitachi, Bomag, Etnyre, JLG, Superior Broom, Noram, Vail, Tecumseh, Interstate Trailers and more.
