Ditch Witch of South Dakota has been serving the local underground construction industry for more than 45 years. For the past two years, the dealership has ranked in the top 10 in customer support among Ditch Witch dealerships worldwide.

With its recent relocation to a larger, brand new facility, the dealership expected to take customer service to an even higher level.

The new facility, 27125 Parklane Dr. is just south of Sioux Falls at the Tea Exit and is across the street from its previous location.

Todd Madson, president and owner, said the additional square footage — approximately 2.5 times that of the old facility — and the reconstruction of Exit 73 on I-29 will mean greater accessibility and convenience for Ditch Witch of South Dakota customers.

“Our business has really been growing, so this new building will help us better take care of our customers,” said Madson, a second-generation owner who has been with the dealership for 15 years, the past 10 as president.

“We’ve expanded our parts, service and rental departments, and we have a spacious display area for our trenchers, vibratory plows, and directional drilling equipment.”

The added square footage has allowed the dealership to provide services that the old facility could not accommodate, such as an overhead crane system in the service department.

“Overall, the new facility allows all of our operations to be a lot more efficient,” said Madson.

Madson said the dealership plans to host an open house and Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting for customers and vendors at the new facility on May 5.

The Ditch Witch organization specializes in the design and manufacture of high-quality underground construction equipment.
