EZ-SPOT-UR Attachments has introduced the pole jack, which is used to extract utility poles from the ground. The pole jack joins the heavy duty pole setter in a line of attachments aimed at utility companies, electrical cooperatives and electrical contractors.

According to Chris Lichty of International Transmission Company, “The pole jack is truly revolutionizing the way we extract utility poles. Not to mention it’s built like a tank.” Lichty and the Michigan based company oversee thousands of miles of transmission lines, so anything to streamline the process of pole replacement can save days of work for Lichty and his crew.

The traditional way of pulling 100 ft. (30 m) transmission poles involves many men and many trucks but with the EZ-SPOT-UR pole jack the same job can be done with just one person, one machine and one attachment. The Pole Jack when attached to a skid steer, track loader, utility tractor, or backhoe offers the user increased maneuverability and is capable of pulling foamed poles as well as poles placed in frozen ground, according to the manufacturer.
