Joe Amabile, Power Systems sales manager of Foley Incorporated, the Caterpillar dealer in North Jersey, Staten Island, and Bermuda, announced the promotion of Jill Kaczanowski to inside sales, and the additions of Eric Derwid as the new inside sales engineer and Evelyn Marcucci as the new sales administrative assistant for the Power Systems Division.

Kaczanowski arrived at Foley in February 2004 from the Video Corporation of America, bringing with her three years of inside sales experience. She began her career at Foley as the administrative assistant of sales for the Power Systems division, where she provided support and assistance to the sales team. She handled all general administration duties for the department.

Kaczanowski moved into the role of sales assistant for Power Systems in early 2005. As a sales assistant, her responsibilities centered more on customer relations, communications with vendors, and learning the CAT product.

In her new inside sales position, Kaczanowski will work directly with the outside sales force, preparing proposals based on project specifications and negotiating favorable terms with vendors.

“Her ’can do attitude’ and willingness to learn all of the products offered by Foley has propelled her into a new role [in] inside sales,” said Amabile.

Derwid’s career includes more than 13 years of engineering experience from both the field and management side of the industry.

He began his engineering career at Westinghouse Electric Corporation as a field engineer in 1993.

Derwid accepted a field applications engineering position at Aromat Corporation in 1995, where he provided technical support, initiated new product markets, and managed customer sites for technical consultations. In 1998, he joined Adam Technologies as engineering manager, where he managed the Engineering and Quality Control departments. Prior to arriving at Foley, he most recently worked for the Telcom industry as a field application engineer where he was responsible for direct sales and technical support.

As an inside sales engineer, Derwid will be responsible for providing in house new engine sales support for customers and technical sales support for Account Managers. In addition, he also will be in charge of the preparation for project and budget price quotations.

“Eric’s experience in sales and customer support will surely add to the Power Systems Sales success,” said Amabile.

Marcucci joins Foley with more than 5 years of office management experience at A. Harrington Limousine Service Inc. There she was responsible for supervising the dispatch staff, handling all aspects of customer service, and managing the overall operations of the business.

In Marcucci’s new role as Power Systems sales administrative assistant, she will be responsible for working with the sales team to assist them with the preparation and delivery of new project proposals, in addition to handling all miscellaneous administrative responsibilities.
