Mr. Hutchinson joined Vilsmeier Auction Company in 1972, and served as president from 1980-2001. He was a licensed auctioneer in 15 states.

Richard W. “Rick” Hutchinson of Maple Glen, Pa., passed away on Jan. 30, 2016. He was 67.

Mr. Hutchinson was the husband of Tracie Hutchinson for 41 years, and the father of Brett and Evan Hutchinson.

Born June 22, 1948, in Riverside, N.J., he was the son of the late William Hutchinson and Elizabeth Hutchinson (nee: White). He also is survived by his sister Patricia Kunkel of Mount Laurel, N.J., and his niece Jamie Kunkel of Bradley Beach, N.J.

Mr. Hutchinson was a 1966 graduate of Palmyra High School and earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Baltimore. He also served in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Mr. Hutchinson was a well-respected executive in the construction equipment business. He joined Vilsmeier Auction Company in 1972, and served as president from 1980-2001. He was a licensed auctioneer in 15 states.

Later in his career, he worked for Construction Equipment Guide in the trade show division.

Upon retirement, Mr. Hutchinson enjoyed vacationing on Long Beach Island, fishing and crabbing. He loved going to Phillies games and watching the Eagles. His children were his pride and joy.
