FQS Bear Equipment Inc., Lexington, S.C., recently awarded its Vendor of the Year Award. The idea to begin presenting this award came about because to FQS Bear Equipment, vendors are a very important part of the company team and FQS feels strongly that all team members who step up should be recognized.

Melanie Brown, vice president of operations said that the award is based on several things, “Commitment to our market; willingness to listen to us and help us move forward; willingness to work with our staff in house and in the field; provide a quality product and work trade shows and share leads.”

Groeneveld Group, a company that is active in development, production, marketing and sales of innovative products and services in more than 30 countries for more than 40 years, in particular offering products with roots in automatic maintenance and active safety, was this year’s winner.

“Groeneveld hired some new staff that came from the heavy equipment industry with good local knowledge and empowered them with the tools to get their grease system in the marketplace starting with us, their dealer,” Brown explained. “Someone from Groeneveld was either with our staff whether it was sales, parts, technical or at customer locations. They were in the field or on the phone with us every day in 2011. They sent their trainers to help us with installs in the field and a lot of classroom training. They supported us wherever and whenever we needed them.”

Ben Strader, regional business manager, Groeneveld, stated, “We were very surprised and very happy to receive this award. Strategically, FQS Bear Equipment is a great distributor for us. They have a great reputation as a service-oriented company and a great fit with what we can provide. Together, we hope to expand and to serve our customers with the best solution for automatic greasing in the industry.”
