GeoShack recently hosted the company’s annual Topcon Technology Roadshow, designed to provide information and updates regarding the latest technologies for the construction, survey, civil engineering, architecture and design industries. This year the event was held in Burbank, Ohio, offering easy travel time from both Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, markets.

Classroom sessions were conducted onsite in Topcon’s 53-ft. multi-media mobile training center after which lunch was provided by GeoShack. Following lunch, attendees were given an opportunity to try out the equipment in hands-on demonstrations. Ohio’s John Deere construction equipment dealer, Murphy Tractor & Equipment, and Case dealer Southeastern Equipment Company provided machines for the live demonstrations.

Emphasizing the latest technologies for greater productivity, educational sessions focused on construction, survey, BIM and machine control industries. Information regarding the impact of field computer technology on project data and administration as well as the latest software for both field and office were presented. With both Topcon representatives and GeoShack team members on hand, the event was designed to provide a general overview of new technologies combined with personal one on one time with attendees where specific applications could be addressed.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, GeoShack North America Inc. provides sales, service and rentals of GPS, lasers, survey equipment and machine control systems for the construction, survey, engineering and agricultural markets. Formed when several independently owned distributors merged, the company continues to grow and currently operates retail locations in Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas, and also operates locations in Ontario and Quebec, Canada.
