Garden State Engine & Equipment (GSE&E) delivered a Merlo R40.30 MCSS, a 96 ft. (29 m) rotating telescopic forklift to Girandola & Shutkind (G & S) Construction of the Bronx, N.Y. G & S will primarily use the Merlo to attach wall panels to new structures.

“The Merlo R40.30 is an excellent choice for us for several reasons,” said John Girandola, CEO. The Merlo Forklift has the ability to sit stationary and perform its job lifting wall panels and rotating them into place very easily. Using our jib with a winch enables our operator to reach over the steel frames and into a building setting the panels with precision. With this machine having a 96 ft. lift height, with a multi-function joystick, it enables the operator to rotate, telescope and lift our panels into place doing the work of a crane. With less machine moves, less labor, less fuel and without the cost of a crane rental and an operator, we fully expect to realize a savings to pay this machine off in less than 18 months. No question; this machine will save us a lot of time and money.”

“I’m very happy with my decision to purchase a Merlo R40.30 with its attachments,” Girandola added.

“The Merlo R40.30 was the right choice for our company. It is essential that we reach and deliver the materials precisely to its exact location. With its 3,300 pound capacity at its maximum lift height of 96 feet the R40.30 eliminates the need for a crane, a big savings for us. The Merlo R40.30 performs with ease and agility. Having an on board computer allows the machine to let our operator see on his dashboard screen the boom height, the radius and the weight of the material he is lifting. This machine not only saves time and money, but adds an important safety factor which allows the operator to feel comfortable with his pick.”

“GSE&E sales and service department has been excellent in providing me with a machine of excellent quality, an innovative design and a machine that does more than its competition all for less money,” Girandola said. “Our customers expect us to meet their deadlines, I believe the Merlo R40.30 will not only help us to achieve that, but with its help we will exceed them as well. Vince DeRienzo and GSE&E have gone above and beyond to make us comfortable with our decision. Vince has not only provided me expert product knowledge, but a comfort level in buying the right machine for us. His customer support along with his commitment to provide the best service possible is outstanding.”

The Merlo telescopic forklifts offers a wide range of machinery for a wide range of projects.
