JCB Construction Equipment has yet again expanded its business with the March 1 opening of Atlanta JCB.

Gov. Sonny Perdue joined JCB Owner Sir Anthony Bamford in cutting the ribbon for the Atlanta JCB grand opening.

Atlanta JCB — JCB’s newest compact equipment dealer — is located at 2679 Barrett Lakes Blvd. in Kennesaw, GA. Situated on 2.5 acres, it provides full-service customer care with seven service bays, a 2,300-sq.-ft. parts warehouse, mobile service trucks and a large rental fleet.

Crowds gathered to see performances from the JCB Dancing Diggers and the JCB GT — a backhoe that has been fitted with a racing engine that boasts speeds of more than 100 mph — also was on display.

People travelled from all over Georgia to spend the day at the opening. It proved to be a day to bring the family with games for children and operator skills challenges for adults. The opportunities to win prizes continued all day, culminating in a giveaway drawing to win the use of a JCB skid steer for a year — a $15,000 value.

The winner of the drawing, Chuck Clowdus of Clowdus & Co. was thrilled with the prize.

“I am so glad I came to meet these nice folks at JCB. I have been eying a JCB skid steer for a while — I like the side entry feature — and now I’ll get to use one for a year. I can’t imagine how much this will help my contracting business,” he said

Bob Kirschner, president of Atlanta JCB said events like this are part of the soul of the company

“The very essence of JCB, as a family-owned business, is to take the time to get to know our customers and members of our local community. JCB is a different kind of company — family owned and privately held — not a faceless corporation like our competitors. We want to show the Atlanta market that when you buy a JCB machine, you join the JCB family.”

Atlanta JCB will offer the complete line of JCB compact equipment, as well as the JCB Vibromax line of compactors and rammers. JCB offers the largest selection of compact equipment of any equipment manufacturer on the market.

JCB manufactures more than 90 different models of compact equipment in eight machine ranges: skid steer loaders, track loaders, mini-excavators, industrial forklifts, telescopic handlers, backhoe loaders, rammers and compactors.
