Hendrick Construction Inc. received a 2008 National Safety Excellence Award from the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC).

The ABC National Safety Excellence Awards — the highest safety award presented by the organization — recognize companies with exemplary safety performance and programs, as well as companies that exhibit a continued commitment to job site safety.

Hendrick was one of seven ABC contractor members out of almost 15,000 to receive the award.

“Maintaining a safe work environment is always our top priority, and our safety program exceeds state and federal requirements,” said Hendrick Construction Project Superintendent Bryan Fowler. “We’re thrilled to be recognized for this achievement.”

“ABC is proud to congratulate Hendrick Construction for its success in maintaining the highest level of construction workplace safety in 2008,” said Kirk Pickerel, ABC president and CEO. “Hendrick Construction has truly demonstrated its dedication to ensuring a safe environment for all employees, and it is an honor to recognize that achievement with our National Safety Excellence Award.”
