Dan Blade has been named general manager of Hi-Way Equipment. In his new position, Blade will report to company president Jim Bost at corporate headquarters in Tulsa, OK.
Hi-Way is a subsidiary of Midwesco Industries, which also owns Midwestern Equipment in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, OK; Midwestern Manufacturing in Tulsa, and Midwestern Pipeline Product in Odessa, TX, and Farmington, NM.
Blade started with Hi-Way Equipment in 1983 as a mechanic trainee in the service department. He was promoted into the rental department as rental coordinator, and then into inside sales. He ran the shop as the shop foreman, worked in the parts department and was a demonstration operator.
In 1993, Blade moved into outside sales. He also was responsible for industrial equipment sales, service, and repair worldwide. His assignments have taken him to Mexico, Canada, Trinidad and Indonesia.
“I have been around and done just about everything involved in the company,” said Blade of his tenure with Hi-Way Equipment.
Blade also is a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and a current volunteer as well as past chairman of the Equipment Acquisition Committee.
