## Summary
Huddig launches its new HUDDIG 1370 TIGON G2, a machine featuring a larger battery and a new connected platform.

## Article

Huddig announced the launch of the next generation of HUDDIG TIGON. With a larger battery capacity, more equipment options and a new connected platform, the concept has been further developed in several key areas.

## Technology That Advances

As with previous technological advances throughout Huddig's history, the work with Tigon Technology is generating new knowledge and innovative solutions, according to the company. These experiences will contribute to the continued development of the entire HUDDIG 1370 platform – for both hybrid and hydrostatic machines.

"HUDDIG 1370 TIGON G2 represents an important step in Huddig's continued development," said Håkan Bäckström, CEO of Huddig. "We build machines that meet our customers' high expectations for performance, efficiency and flexibility. At the same time, we are constantly looking for new ways to improve the working day for everyone operating and working around the machine. With the new TIGON generation, we are combining our extensive experience in excavator loaders with continued technological development and electrification. We are also advancing how we will build our machines in the future."

## Real-world Data Drives Development

HUDDIG 1370 TIGON G2 builds on the experience gained from the first series-produced generation. Four years of customer feedback, collected machine data and practical experience from machines in operation have provided Huddig with valuable input.

The existing HUDDIG TIGON fleet consists of 41 machines with a combined total of 96,306 operating hours. Machine data shows that they have operated on electric power for 56.68 percent of their working time.

"With almost 100,000 hours of real-world operation, we have had an excellent foundation for our development work," said Daniel Åkerström, design engineer, Huddig. "The larger battery makes it possible to work on electric power for even longer, and we therefore expect HUDDIG TIGON G2 to improve these figures further."

## Larger Battery

One of the most significant new features of HUDDIG 1370 TIGON G2 is its new battery. Capacity has increased from 44 to 61 kWh – an increase of nearly 40 percent, according to Huddig.

The greater capacity does more than provide additional available energy. It also allows the machine to recover and store significantly more energy during operation, including energy generated when braking or traveling downhill.

The battery operates optimally within a range of approximately 20–80 percent. With the greater capacity, considerably more usable energy is now available within this operating range. The result is more time on electric power, more efficient energy recovery and fewer charging cycles over time, added the company.

## More Possibilities

HUDDIG 1370 TIGON G2 can be equipped for an even wider range of applications. The new generation is compatible with more of Huddig's equipment portfolio, including the Loader Coupled Crane (LCC), Huddig's new Radio Control system for the machine (RC), LIFT Type II and LIFT 2200C, which can also be equipped with RC and an insulated work platform (LWI).

This makes the machine suitable for a wider range of applications – from traditional construction work to utility and railroad operations.

"For contractors, it is about being able to do more with the same machine," said Daniel Myrgren, sales and marketing director, Huddig. "The combination of longer electric operation and more equipment options makes HUDDIG TIGON G2 even more versatile, providing greater freedom to adapt the machine to each assignment. Electric operation can also offer a clear competitive advantage in applications where low emissions and low noise levels are becoming increasingly important."
