The “ICUEE Gives Back” benefit auction held on Oct. 1, 2015, was aimed at helping returning Veterans find employment in the private sector (particularly the construction and utility industries) through The Call of Duty Endowment and raised $29,575 toward that effort. The Call of Duty Endowment helps Veterans find high quality careers by supporting groups that prepare Veterans for the job market and by raising awareness of the value Vets bring to the marketplace.

ICUEE exhibitors donated a wide range of items to be sold at auction, both live on site at ICUEE in Louisville, Ky., as well as live online, through internet bidding, provided by Proxibid.

Doosan Portable Power donated a C185 air compressor, which sold at the highest value of any item, bringing in $7,500 toward the cause. Other auction items included a Dale Earnhardt NASCAR racing helmet (donated by Morgan Corp.), a 7-day Royal Caribbean Cruise (donated by Altec Inc.), a Las Vegas country music experience (donated by Ditch Witch), and 15 others.

The Call of Duty Endowment supports groups that assist Vets develop resumes, work on interviewing skills, and much more. The average cost of helping a Vet enter the job market is $700. With that in mind, the ICUEE Gives Back auction raised funds that will help more than 42 Veterans find jobs.
