Jeff Martin Auctioneers were back at their Brooklyn, Miss., facility on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 for a two-day auction. With seasonal strong storms before sale days and intermittent showers during the sale, the weather didn't faze the turnout, enthusiasm and overall success of this auction.

Both days had phenomenal crowds and strong bidding on the internet with day one featuring aerials, construction equipment, road building machines, heavy duty trucks and trailers, and other miscellaneous support pieces. Day 2 featured farm tractors & equipment, pickup trucks, vehicles and tools.

A couple incredibly busy final weeks of May for the staff of Jeff Martin Auctioneers with auctions coming up in Kissimmee, Fla., Wills Point, Texas, and Columbia, S.C., before month's end.

The Brooklyn, Miss., sale has become a solid source for quality dump trucks and truck-tractors. This sale was no exception as a “slew” of Mack dumps were available to the highest bidder.  

A really nice selection of yellow iron rounds the corner and makes its way to the ramp for some rather fast paced bidding.  

Finishing up an inspection of a Cat D6N LGP of interest is Prentis Ladner, an independent equipment buyer/seller based in Poplarville, Miss.  

Doing his research and attending the auction specifically to bid on machines for a contractor friend is Connley Hodge of Hattiesburg, Miss.  

Opening up a Bobcat T200 compact track loader of interest are Jimmy Wendt (L) and Elton Navarro of Blackfin Equipment Rentals, Morgan City, La.  

Wesley Gatwood (L) of Gatwood Southern Homes and James Gatwood of James Gatwood Timber, both based in Sumrall, Miss., talk about the lineup of machines in the sale.  

The aged iron are still highly sought out machines. Looking at a few older pieces in the sale are (L-R): Richie Miska (in cab), Big Iron Equipment Sales, Meridian, Miss.; Jeremey Anderson, Waynesboro, Miss.; and Charles Whitney, Charles Land Development, Brooklyn, Miss.  

Test operating a Cat 320CL excavator is local equipment dealer Jerry Cole of C & C Equipment, Inc., Hattiesburg, Miss.  

Discussing what excavators they plan to bid on are Chris Jones (L) and Jimbo Sullivan of Tim Jones Auto Truck & Tractor, Mendenhall, Miss.  

Testing hydraulics and operation of some of the mini-excavators prior to sale time are John Steube (in cab) and Parker Bourque of Southern Lawncare & Excavation, Saucier, Miss.
