FABCO Equipment Inc. of Milwaukee, WI, and John Fabick Tractor Company of Fenton, St. Louis County, MO, are proud to announce that they are joining their two family-owned, independently-operated companies to create one of the largest and most dynamic Caterpillar dealerships in the nation.

FABCO hosted its grand opening and season opener for its Eau Claire, Wis., location on April 25 and 26. Due to growth in business opportunities, the company has expanded into an all new 52,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility to serve its customers. The event featured food, fun, refreshments, door prizes and facility tours.

FABCO Equipment Inc., the Caterpillar dealer for Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan celebrated the grand opening of not one, but two, locations in La Crosse, Wis., on Aug. 23. Due to exciting growth in business opportunities throughout western Wisconsin, FABCO made the decision to significantly expand its operations in the area to better fit the needs of its growing number of customers.

Due to a growth in FABCO CAT’s earthmoving and engine business throughout western Wisconsin, the company has recently expanded its capability to serve the needs of customers throughout western Wisconsin. FABCO’s increased presence in this market includes a new, larger full-service facility and the addition of a FABCO Rents — The Cat Rental Store location.

Vermeer Corporation’s S800TX mini-skid steer features a rated tip capacity of 2,400 lbs. (1,089 kg) and rated SAE operating capacity of 840 lbs. (381 kg), all in a compact frame, enabling contractors to lift and transport pallets and bucket loads in and around confined spaces.

Joseph G. Fabick died at his home in Elm Grove, Wis. on July 22, 2010, at the age of 82. Born Oct. 9, 1927, Mr. Fabick was the founder of FABCO Equipment Inc., the Caterpillar dealer for Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. He served as president and chief executive officer of the company from its inception in 1982 until his retirement in 2002 when principal ownership of the business was acquired by his son Jeré C.

For the second year in a row, the Green Bay Packers have created the Tundra Tailgate zone just outside Lambeau Field. Located in the parking lot on the stadium’s east side, this year the area includes two climate-controlled tents with many amenities.

FABCO Equipment Inc. held grand-re-opening at its main office location in Milwaukee, Wis., Oct. 12 and 13. The event celebrated FABCO’s 25 years as Wisconsin and Upper Michigan’s Caterpillar dealer. FABCO/Caterpillar and Fox Valley Technical College held a dedication ceremony for the new FABTECH Education Center Oct. 5. The school is located at the S.J. Spanbauer & Industrial Center campus, 3601 Oregon Street in Oshkosh, Wis. FABCO Equipment Inc., a Caterpillar equipment, engine and generator dealer with 23 locations throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, entered into a new partnership with Appleton, Wis.-based Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC).

With the lease coming up at the end of the year, executives at FABCO Rents, a wholly owned subsidiary of FABCO Equipment Inc., began searching for a new home for its Waukesha operations in April 2005. It did not take long for FABCO President and CEO Jerè Fabick to settle on the unlikely choice of an old airport hangar across the street from Waukesha Airport at 2445 Pewaukee Rd.
