Alban Equipment's annual sale and expo is in the books, another year for the successful Cat-A-Thon. This marks Alban's 13th year hosting this event, and each year the company figures out a way to keep the crowds entertained, while also giving them time to browse an extensive inventory of well-priced yellow iron.
Officially opened in March 2019, this new facility allows SITECH Chesapeake to better serve its customers from a central location, while also providing the company access to dedicated warehouse space, a modern workshop and plenty of space for educational seminars.

More than 200 attendees stopped by Alban Cat's annual Cat-A-Thon sale on Oct. 10 at the company's Baltimore, Md., location. The event featured hundreds of pieces of equipment, 30 allied vendors, attachments and more with special pricing and financing.
Alban CAT held its 10th Annual CAT-A-Thon Oct. 11 in Baltimore, Md. The event featured competitive equipment pricing, including skids steers on sale for as low as $8,500, trench rollers as low as $7,500 and many other great deals. More than 30 vendors also were on site to support Alban's CAT-A-Thon.
The 9th annual CAT-A-Thon sale, hosted by Alban CAT, was a success once again despite the prediction of harsh weather and a possible cancellation due to a hurricane just a week before. More than 200 customers attended the event, which was held in Baltimore, Md., and seemed eager to spend the day outside shopping for new and used Caterpillar equipment.
On June 3, Hank Emilsson joined the Alban CAT team as an international used equipment sales representative. He is responsible for the sale and purchase of used Caterpillar Heavy Construction Equipment, both nationally (outside Alban’s territory) and internationally.
Cat Auction Services teamed up with Alban CAT for another successful auction at its Winchester, Va., location. The auction took place on June 26, and this is the third sale Alban CAT has hosted with Cat Auctions. The sunshine made for a great day to host an auction, and onsite attendance was up from the company’s December sale.
More than 200 guests attended the Oct. 15, 7th annual Alban CAT Cat-A-Thon event held at its Baltimore, Md., facility. Guests were invited early for a “Get to Know Us Breakfast” and got a sneak peek of the event. Attendees that registered for the event were entered into a drawing to win a used electric club car utility vehicle.
Alban CAT has joined Cat Auction Services’ growing list of dealer partners. Cat Auction Services conducts unreserved public auctions of equipment (including trucks) from all manufacturers. The auctions typically draw bidders from across the United States and around the world.
Ted Williamson has been promoted to general service manager, Alban CAT, effective July 1. Williamson worked for Caterpillar from 1997 to 2003 in a variety of roles and then joined Milton CAT as its customer support manager and then service operations and technical services manager from 2003 to 2006.
