Quality Fleet Service, Inc. , based in South Hadley, Mass., has joined the Bell Trucks America team. The company was in search of an articulated truck line to round out its heavy construction equipment offerings and Bell was a perfect match, according to Nicholas Moynihan, president of Quality Fleet Service.

As the newest generation of articulated dump trucks, the Doosan DA30-5 and DA45-5 represent the latest enhancements to articulated dump truck (ADT) performance, reliability, operator comfort and serviceability. In conjunction with ConExpo-Con/AGG 2020, Doosan Infracore North America LLC announced the two newest models in its ADT lineup.

Built with the next generation cab, powerful engine meeting the current emissions standards andautomatic features to elevate productivity, the new Cat 725 articulated truck sets the market standard of excellence for articulated trucks, the company stated.

Introduced at bauma 2019, the all-new Hydrema 707G is a class size that essentially straddles the classification of articulated truck and site dumper. The Danish manufacturer designed this smaller-sized truck based on its 912 dump truck and incorporated features that meets or exceeds current world-wide safety specs for site dumpers, according to the manufacturer.

Caterpillar unveiled a wide range of 24 new products and services during a two-day year-end press briefing Nov. 14 and 15 at Edwards Demonstration and Learning Center, outside of Peoria, Ill. This was the highest number of unveilings Cat has ever made during one press event, nearly doubling its previous high of 14.

In a year of multiple significant milestones for Cat mining and infrastructure trucks, Caterpillar announced delivery of its 50,000th articulated truck from its Peterlee, U.K., manufacturing facility. Since the start of Cat branded articulated truck manufacturing in 1985, Caterpillar has become an industry leader of the articulated truck design.

With confidence in the investment returns that Terex Trucks' machines offer, mining contractor Barhaul has purchased a new 30.8 ton (28 t) capacity TA300 articulated dump truck, for use in a barite mine near Aberfeldy in Perthshire, Scotland. Supplied by Terex Trucks' UK distributor, TDL Equipment, the TA300 has consistently impressed Barhaul with its ability to power through the harshest environments.

Komatsu America Corp.'s HD325-8 and HD405-8 off-highway trucks are equipped with an EPA Tier IV Final certified engine and feature increased horsepower and a new Komatsu Traction Control System (KTCS) to achieve improved productivity. These models have payload capacities of 40.3 tons (36.5 t) and 44.1 tons (40 t), respectively.

Offering a 45.2 -ton (41-t) rated payload capacity, the new Cat 745 articulated truck features a modern cab design, completely re-engineered from the inside-out using global operator feedback to advance comfort and ease of operation. The new external “spinal” ROPS structure boasts bonded rear quarter glass that eliminates the structural pillar to give the operator a dramatic improvement in visibility from the cab.
