BOMAG Americas, Inc. announced Shawn Sweet as Vice President Sales & Marketing July 21. Shawn will be responsible for the leadership of the Bomag dealer and rental sales teams, marketing, product management and for developing new business opportunities.

Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA) visited ASC Construction Equipment in Buford, Ga., on Nov. 10. Woodall is a member of the House Committee on Rules, the House Committee on Budget and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. According to the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), which helped coordinate the congressman's visit to ASC, Woodall has a 100 percent voting record during the 114th Congress on the industry's top policy priorities.

ASC Construction Equipment USA Inc. held an event at its Raleigh, N.C., facility on April 6. Area contractors attended as did students from Wilkes County Community College who are in diesel engine classes. Also attending were high school students in the Skills USA program.

Volvo kicked off its first in a series of educational workshops for technical students this month.
