Fay an i+iconUSA Company, a heavy-civil and industrial construction company, was recognized as a top subcontractor by Bechtel at the company's annual Supply Chain Awards for exceptional work on projects for Bechtel's Oil, Gas and Chemical global business unit.

Bechtel, a global leader in engineering, procurement and construction, has been selected by South Field Energy LLC to design and build a combined-cycle facility in Columbiana County, Ohio, that will deliver a clean, reliable and efficient source of energy to more than one million homes.

Texas Central, developers of the high-speed train between North Texas and Houston, announced an agreement on May 2 with Bechtel to work together on project management services. Bechtel has completed more than 300 major train and subway projects, including the Channel Tunnel High Speed 1, Crossrail in London, Riyadh Metro and Dulles Corridor Metrorail in the Washington, D.C., area.

NASA is making progress and awarding prizes in its competition to build a 3D printed habitat for deep space exploration. The agency has awarded first place and a prize of $250,000 to Team Foster + Partners of Branch Technology in Chattanooga, Tenn., for successfully completing Phase 2: Level 3 of NASA's 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge, a NASA's Centennial Challenges prize competition.
