Brandywine Trucks & Equipment

Brandywine Trucks & Equipment was founded in 1960 but its roots go back to 1927 when the Meinhardt family began what would become the Brandywine Companies. The company’s original site was located on Route 381, a mile south of Routes 301 and 381 in Maryland. The location was a service station and towing operation, as well as a body shop when this was added as a result of increasing traffic (which led to a rising number of accidents in the area). World War II caused a shortage of auto parts that led the Meinhardt family to selling used parts. Today, Brandywine Trucks & Equipment is located in Brandywine, Md., and remains family-owned and operated. The company specializes in new and used construction equipment and truck and trailer sales, as well as a extensive lineup of rental equipment and trailers.
