The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties (CAWGC) announces its Annual Scholarship Program. Since the program's inception in 1996, the association has awarded almost $130,000 to deserving scholars who will be pursuing degrees in the construction field.

The Contractors Association of Will & Grundy Counties held its Annual Steak Fry on Aug. 22. Attendance records were broken for the event, held in St. Joseph's Park in Joliet, Ill. While steaks were served to more than 735 hungry attendees, live band Still Kick'n, played music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties (CAWGC) held its Annual Meet & Greet Expo on May 2, 2019, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Stone City VFW in Joliet, Ill. There were 29 exhibitors with both indoor booths and, despite the rainy day, some had brought outside equipment to view.

In 2007, the Richard G. Colombo Award was established. The award is presented periodically to an individual who has made significant personal contributions toward the advancement of the organized commercial, industrial and institutional construction industry.

The Contractors Association of Will & Grundy Counties (CAWGC) held its annual steak fry on Aug. 3 at St. Joe's Park in Joliet, Ill., which once again was a huge success. Nearly 600 guests braved the extreme heat and humidity to enjoy the mouthwatering steaks, which were served with mushrooms and onions, fresh corn on the cob, baked potatoes and all the side dishes along with ice cold beverages.
