The W.I. Clark Company, headquartered in Wallingford, Conn., hosted its 19th annual paving seminar on April 9. The paving seminar is held each year to create awareness of the paving products available at W.I. Clark to introduce local paving contractors to the latest models on the market, and to educate existing customers on the latest paving techniques, as well as presenting information on properly maintaining equipment.

Clark, to introduce paving contractors to the latest models on the market, and to educate existing customers on the latest paving techniques, as well as presenting information on properly maintaining equipment.

Clark Equipment Rental in Syracuse, N.Y., is a rental house that also sells a large volume of used equipment. The company was founded in 2005 when Adam Clark and his father started the company to rent earthmoving equipment in central New York State. In the process, they formed a rental alliance with Milton CAT so that they could lease late model Caterpillar machines to their customer base.

Fairchild Equipment, a dealer of Yale industrial trucks and JCB construction equipment in Wisconsin and Minnesota, has announced the hiring of Van Clarkson. Clarkson is a Wisconsin native and will be returning to his Midwest roots. In joining the executive management team at Fairchild Equipment, his responsibilities will include growth and development in both the forklift truck and construction equipment business segments.

Clark Herbst has been appointed to the position of sales representative at the Atlas Copco-Milwaukee store, effective immediately. Herbst will be based out of the Milwaukee store and will report directly to Sturge Taggart, store manager. In his most recent position, Herbst assisted with water well sales in Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

The company also presents seminars on the latest paving techniques, how to properly maintain equipment and more.

It was a unique event gaining worldwide attention, yet it began in the ordinary way with a visit from a potential customer. However, this particular client was planning an extraordinary event. Steve Clark, vice president of Clark Rigging & Rental Corporation of Lockport, N.Y., recalled one day that Nik Wallenda of the famous Flying Wallenda aerialist family “walked into our office and said ’I’m going to walk a wire over Niagara Falls’.”“Being prudent and cautious managers that we are, we scratched our heads and thought ’OK, good luck!’” Clark said.

On June 28 Lloyd Meekins & Sons Auction Company held an absolute heavy equipment, truck and trailer auction for John S. Clark Company LLC in Mount Airy, N.C. More than 800 lots were sold, included late model Cat 420E 4WD loader backhoes and Lull/JLG 944E-42 telescopic forklifts, to more than 600 registered on site and online bidders.

Kelly Clark (R) is the winner of the Ditch Witch Superior Service and Support Excellence Award for 2011. This award is given annually to recognize the Ditch Witch service manager who promotes the highest level of product support to customers and co-workers.

The W.I. Clark Company became the new dealer of all VT LeeBoy and Rosco products in Connecticut in February. “It is a really great fit for us and completes our offering on the paving end of our business. The LeeBoy product has a tremendous reputation in Connecticut ” said Doug Hansen, president of The W.I.
