cold planers

Available in 3- and 4-wheel designs, the Bomag BM 500/15-2 and BM 600/15-2 compact mills feature a reengineered vibration-isolated operator's station that improves operator efficiency and productivity. A new suspension seat with optional heating boasts a 45-degree slewing angle for increased visibility to the left cutting edge and front/rear of the machine.

Bomag reintroduced its 600-hp-class (440-kW) Bomag 2200/60 cold planer with a Tier IV Final (Stage V) engine and multiple productivity enhancing design advancements. The reengineered milling chamber improves the robustness and design of the front material depressor, resulting in increased performance, lower wear and longer component life, according to the manufacturer.

Caterpillar Inc. has announced updates to the PM620, PM622, PM820, PM822 and PM825 half-lane cold planers. These milling machines now meet U.S. EPA Tier IV Final and EU Stage V emission standards powered by a fuel-efficient Cat C18 turbocharged, 6-cylinder diesel engine.

Caterpillar Inc. announced new updates to the PM310, PM312 and PM313 cold planers. The PM300 Series is ideal for small-to-medium job sites where compact dimensions, optimum maneuverability and high production capabilities are required. Wheel or track undercarriage designs are available for each model.

The Cat PM820, PM822 and PM825 cold planers are designed to be highly productive, highly maneuverable, half-lane milling machines capable of controlled full-depth removal of asphalt and concrete pavements in a single pass. Operating weights for the new models range from 79,630 to 82,650 lb.
