At both its indoor and outdoor exhibits at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2020, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas demonstrated working prototype models of electric-powered compact excavators. The company also is displayed a full range of wheel loaders and excavators, including new and enhanced models.

Caterpillar Work Tools now has a TiltRotate System (TRS) for Cat Next Gen mini-excavators. The new TRS6 and TRS8 models allow attached work tools (including buckets, forks, grapples, brooms and compactors) to rotate 360 degrees and tilt 40 degrees side-to-side, enabling the machine to reach more work areas from a single position, while maneuvering tools over, under and around obstructions when excavating, grading ditches, sorting recycle materials or placing pipe.

LiuGong North America, headquartered in Katy, Texas, has announced the arrival of its first new F-series excavators for dealer review. The 9018F is a reduced tail-swing, 1.9 ton (1.8 t) mini-class excavator presently undergoing evaluation. It has been designed to meet or exceed North American market design specifications.

The machines, which are the first to be shown from a new electric range of Volvo-branded compact excavators and compact wheel loaders, deliver zero exhaust emissions, significantly lower noise levels, reduced energy costs, improved efficiency and less maintenance requirements, compared to their conventional counterparts, according to the manufacturer.

Volvo Construction Equipment is adding to its E-Series compact excavators in North America with the launch of the ECR18E and the EC20E. The EC20E comes with a range of significant performance gains versus the D‑Series model it replaces, while the ultra short-swing ECR18E is an entirely new addition to the Volvo lineup.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas featured a variety of recently upgraded models and newly available third-party attachments Jan. 22 through 25 at its World of Concrete exhibit (Booth C7027) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The company also displayed its Hyundai HX130LCR hydraulic excavator for the first time since the model's recent introduction.
