World of Asphalt, an asphalt trade show and conference coming to Atlanta from March 9 to 11, 2021, is celebrating 20 years of bringing the asphalt industry together by honoring 20 asphalt companies with $500 toward attending the show. A middle schooler from Washington, a California high school senior, an engineering student from University of California, Davis, and a graduate student from Carnegie Mellon University are winners of the 9th annual American Road & Transportation Builders Association's (ARTBA) "Student Transportation Video Contest." Caterpillar has announced the launch of the 2019/2020 Global Operator Challenge Competition. Operators will test their skills against those of fellow operators around the world to determine who can claim the title of "best." In each stage of the competition, operators will be challenged to test their agility, mental toughness and versatility, as well as their competence in using integrated technology to enhance machine performance, such as Cat Production Measurement and Cat GRADE systems.
