Alta Equipment Construction Group held its First Annual Golf Outing at the Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago on Aug. 27. The weather was perfect as representatives of Alta Equipment, manufacturers and construction companies caught up on the latest industry news and machines.

The Fifth Annual Industry Forum on Personnel Qualifications has been rescheduled for Oct. 29, 2020, as a virtual event, the NCCCO Foundation has announced. As previously reported, Scott Ketcham, director of OSHA's Directorate of Construction, will once again provide the keynote address and participate in a Q&A session that will conclude the conference.

Planet Underground, a key provider of information about underground utility safety, and The Utility Expo are joining forces to bring their "Roundtable Live!" event to the Kentucky Exposition Center every other year as "The Jobsite, presented by Planet Underground." The 21st Annual AGC of Minnesota Sporting Clays Fundraiser to benefit the AGC of Minnesota Foundation will be held Sept. 16, at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club 2920 220th St E. in Prior Lake, Minn. Registration includes 100 rounds of sporting clays, foam earplugs, beverages on the course, social hour snacks, dinner and awards.

The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association has decided to cancel its 2020 Annual Meeting. Texas Asphalt Pavement Association President Geno Carrier IV made the following statement: Dear TXAPA Members, I come to you to share the decision of our board of directors to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting.

World of Asphalt, an asphalt trade show and conference coming to Atlanta from March 9 to 11, 2021, is celebrating 20 years of bringing the asphalt industry together by honoring 20 asphalt companies with $500 toward attending the show. "This is a significant milestone for World of Asphalt, and we want to recognize the asphalt companies that make World of Asphalt and AGG1 possible," said Show Manager Brittany Weltcheff.

Roland Machinery Company held its Komatsu Forest Demo Day July 15 to 16 at its demo site in Pickerel, Wis. Customers were invited to see how the latest forestry equipment from Komatsu could benefit their operations. Representatives of Komatsu America Corp.

On June 18, 2020, Sennebogen held a live demo day of its 718 tree handlers at the company's Stanley, N.C., headquarters. Greg Roberts, Sennebogen tree care manager, said that his initial focus will be on building awareness of the Sennebogen brand and familiarity with the 718 and 738 tree handlers within the industry.

The Cross Bore Safety Association (CBSA), an association dedicated to minimizing the occurrence of cross bore damages, injuries and loss of life, will be holding the first ever course on cross bore safety in the spring of 2021. Cross bore strikes occur when an existing underground utility or structure is intersected by a second utility, compromising the integrity of one or both.

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) announced it is canceling the 2020 ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture, originally scheduled to take place in Miami Beach, Fla., in early October. The action comes amidst serious health and safety concerns surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA) is ready FORE summer by opening registration for its 7th Annual Golf Outing to be held Aug. 10, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bunker Hills Golf Club located at 12800 Bunker Prairie Rd. NW in Coon Rapids, Minn.
