What started in 1964 in Elburn, Ill., as a way for Illinois Bell to get equipment manufacturers to show off their latest and greatest to its employees, "The Elburn Show," which became ICUEE, is now The Utility Expo, emphasizing our commitment to focus on the needs of utility industry professionals.

Over the years, ICUEE has become the utility industry's premier platform for growth and that was recognized when ICUEE won the number-two spot in the annual Top Trade Show list produced by the Trade Show News Network (TSNN). TSNN is an online information resource for the exhibitions and events industry and ranks the top trade shows in the United States by exhibit space size.

When utility professionals converge on Louisville, Ky., from Sept. 28 to 30, 2021, they will find more education, more equipment manufacturers and service providers with the utility industry in mind and an all-new name: The Utility Expo. "Over the years, ICUEE has become the utility industry's premier platform for growth and we are continuously looking for new ways to help the show deliver even more value for top manufacturers, service providers and utility professionals.

In May, the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) will be recognized by Trade Show Executive magazine with its "Fastest 50" award. "It's great to be recognized by the event industry, especially after our record-shattering 2019 show," said ICUEE Show Director John Rozum.

ICUEE – The Demo Expo announced that Dave Hughes, vice president of global sales of McElroy Manufacturing Inc. , has been named 2021 show chair. He will be leading the ICUEE management committee, a volunteer group of utility construction industry executives for overall show planning.

Two of the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's (AEM) team members have been recognized by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events' (IAEE) "20 Under 30" recognition program. Those individuals are AEM Event Operations and Technology Coordinator Brianne Deja and AEM Sales Coordinator Sara Stromski.

Terramac, a manufacturer of rubber track crawler carriers, recently met with thousands of attendees at its exhibit during the ICUEE 2019 tradeshow. "It was our fourth time exhibiting at ICUEE and attendees were very familiar with our company and product offerings," said Mike Crimaldi, CEO of Terramac.

The Vermeer XR2 vacuum excavator is equipped with a shaker deck that separates liquids and solids to allow contractors to stay on the job site longer, work efficiently and reduce disposal expenses. Material excavated with the XR2 is fed through an onboard deceleration tank that exits through an airlock onto a shaker deck where solids and liquids are then separated.

Stephenson Equipment Inc. (SEI), a Harrisburg, Pa.-based National Crane dealer, took delivery of its fourth new NTC55L boom truck at the 2019 International Construction and Utility Exposition (ICUEE). According to Darin D'Ascanio, territory manager of SEI, the new crane will be attractive to customers in many different segments, including utility work, tree care and crane rental.
