The Colorado Department of Transportation's (CDOT) $350 million I-25 South Gap project, awarded to Kraemer North America (KNA), is improving 18 mi. of highway south of Castle Rock (Douglas County, about 40 mi. south of Denver) to the town of Monument (El Paso County), with a major component being the construction of an express lane in each direction to meet increased traffic demands.

Construction of the new Interstate 15 pedestrian bridge that will connect Utah Valley University with the UTA FrontRunner Orem Central Station is underway, with the approximate completion date set for December 2020. Crews will deliver a haunched steel plate girder with hydronically heated, cast-in place deck bridge.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is spending $80.6 million to replace the aging U.S. 52/IL 64 bridge spanning the Mississippi River between Illinois and Iowa, with the financial support from the Iowa Department of Transportation (IADOT).

It is hard to imagine a pair of structures more in need of replacement than the two that make up the Iowa-Illinois Memorial Bridge. More commonly known together as the Interstate 74 Bridge, the twin suspension spans transport about 80,000 vehicles across the Mississippi River each day between Bettendorf, Iowa and Moline, Ill.

Phase 2 is under way on a $30 million project to add an I-70 underpass that connects north and south frontage roads in the town of Vail, Colo. Colorado Department of Transportation and the town of Vail are partners in the connector project located between the main Vail and West Vail interchanges on I-70.
