Morbark, LLC (Morbark) announced Nov. 2 it had completed the acquisition of Rayco Manufacturing, Inc. (Rayco) This transaction represents the first addition since affiliates of the private equity firm Stellex Capital Management LP (Stellex) acquired Morbark in 2016.

Rayco Manufacturing Inc. held a customer appreciation open house at the company's headquarters location in Wooster, Ohio, on April 1. More than 275 attended the event from Ohio as well as Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia, and from as far away as Germany.

Rayco is adding electronic fuel injection (EFI) to its compact, self-propelled stump cutters. The new models RG37 Super Jr and RG37T Trac Jr are powered by Vanguard 37 hp big block gasoline engines with EFI, offering the user more convenience as well as improved horsepower and torque.

Rayco's RM27 multi tool carrier is a new platform for carrying a variety of work tools, including Rayco stump cutters, plus tillers, trenchers, snow throwers, power brooms, push blades and more. This unique machine provides operators with an economical and versatile tool carrier capable of utilizing a variety of implements, maximizing profit by operating work tools at a fraction of the price of dedicated machines, according to the manufacturer.

The Rayco stump cutter just became more versatile for the rental and landscape industries. Rayco's RM27 Multi Tool Carrier is a new platform for carrying a variety of work tools, including Rayco stump cutters, plus tillers, trenchers, snow throwers, power brooms, push blades, and more.

For carrying larger payloads, the Rayco RCT150 answers the call with capacity to carry 15,000-lb. (6,804 kg). Its 260 hp Cummins QSB6.7 engine provides more horsepower than other machines in its class and Rexroth hydraulic pumps provide enhanced service life and are backed by Rexroth’s global service network.

Rayco is introducing a new concept in crawler trucks with the launch of the RCT110S. This platform is designed to utilize the 100 hp, steel tracked crawler truck as a tow vehicle and carry payloads on a gooseneck trailer. The trailer can be fully customized to meet specific job requirements or to perform specialized tasks, allowing the RCT110S crawler truck to function as the prime mover for any number of different trailers.

Rayco’s C160, an evolution of the company’s purpose-built mulcher line, features a 160 hp diesel engine, a large cab with side-entry door, an impressive mulcher lift height and a hi-track undercarriage. The C160 weighs less than 18,000 lbs.

Rayco RCTs are practical for jobs that are too wet for wheeled dump trucks. They feature with low ground pressure, less than 5 psi. loaded, high performance movement and excellent traction. They were designed for greater stability on uneven terrains; this was accomplished by moving the cab forward on the frame, centering the weight load over the tracks.

Rayco’s RG35 Super Jr is now available with 4-wheel drive. The 4x4 option is available as an option on new machines and as a retro-fit kit for older RG35 Super Jr’s. All RG35’s feature a 35 hp Vanguard engine and swing-out controls that offer better visibility while cutting and swing in-line for travel through gates.
