Takeuchi-US, a leader in compact equipment, has announced RoadBuilders Machinery & Supply as a new dealer. Located in Springfield, Mo., the company also has a location in Kansas City, Kan., where it is headquartered, and four locations throughout Nebraska.
Crews from Emery Sapp & Sons Inc. started work in May on the Kansas Department of Transportation's (KDOT) $16 million pavement reconstruction of a 7.12 mi. section of U.S. 169 in Allen County, from Minnesota Road south to Delaware Road.
The key element is to replace the concrete pavement on the mainline and interchange ramps and establish a new subgrade base.
Nebraska Land Improvement Contractors Association (NLICA) held its construction expo and field day on July 28. Admission was free, and more than 400 guests had the chance to test equipment for a variety of applications, including earthmoving/land clearing, drainage/irrigation, open ditch work, excavation/grading and many more.
Reconstruction of a 2 mi. (3.2 km) segment of the city of Lincoln's NW 48th Street between West Vine Street and West Adams Street began March 30, 2015 when crews from K2 Construction, based in the city, arrived on the scene of this project, which is also close to the diverging-diamond interchange that Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) is building.
