Max Gene Bowman, 85, died April 4, at Mill Pond Senior Living in Ankeny, Iowa, of pneumonia, a complication of Lewy Body dementia.
Mr. Bowman was born in Perry, Iowa, to Jean and Orie Bowman, and completed high school there while developing a passion for construction through working with his stepfather, Charlie Paist.
Star Equipment Ltd. announces that Barry Schuler has joined Star Equipment as territory manager of Northwest Iowa. In this role, Barry will professionally manage all sales efforts of the 25 counties in his territory.

The Bowman family celebrated the 50th anniversary of Star Equipment Ltd. Sept. 29 with close to 500 friends, customers and vendors at the company headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa.
The weather was cold and wet during the celebration, but Star Equipment was able to minimize its effects with tents, heaters and the use of the service shop.
Star Equipment Ltd. is proud to announce the promotion of Jon Nedza to Ames assistant branch manager. Jon has been with Star Equipment since 2014 and previously served as parts and rental support.

Star Equipment Ltd. announced that Paul Kindelspire, former Midwest region business manager of Takeuchi, has joined Star Equipment as sales manager of the Des Moines and Ames branches. In this role, Kindelspire will manage sales efforts along with eight field and inside personnel.
Star Equipment introduced the newest member of its sales team, Mike Demaray. He will be handling sales for southwest Iowa. Demaray has a desire to help his customers and increase their knowledge. Prior to working at Star Equipment, Demaray was a road maintenance sales manager of Smith Fertilizer And Grain in Knoxville, Iowa.
North American construction equipment distributors have elected Dennis Kruepke to the position of 2011 chairman of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED). Kruepke is president and CEO of McCann Industries, Addison, Ill., the Case dealer serving the Chicago metro area.
