IRAY Quarterly Auction Brings Out the Heavy Hitters

IRAY Auction held its third quarterly heavy equipment truck and trailer auction Sept. 14 in Foley, Minn. Auctions are scheduled for March, June, September and December to help customers manage their equipment needs. The next auction will be held Friday, Nov. 30, in Foley.

A large row of excavators drew interest from potential bidders.

Longtime IRAY lot equipment driver Joe Nelson moves sold equipment for buyers with his John Deere 250 skid steer.

The legendary Col. Ray Henry, in front of a Condor 47A lift by Calavar, enjoys the great weather and the nice turnout for another IRAY auction.

Don Henry, IRAY Auction sales manager, takes winning bids for equipment and keeps the action going.

Big crowds on site and a large Internet bidding group brought in strong pricing for IRAY’s quarterly heavy equipment and truck sale.

Large Cat scrapers, wheel loaders, skid steers and excavators, along with many types of attachments, trucks and generators gave bidders plenty to choose from.

Rick Anderson, owner of Lakes Mechanical, Chisago City, Minn., a CEG subscriber for 15 years, looks over the tree shears and grapples. Anderson said he loved CEG’s articles, products and reviews at the auction.

Part-time equipment broker Jim Fuhol considers bidding on a 50-ton Pettibone carrier crane. Fuhol retired from EJM Crane Service in Lino Lakes, Minn., after 40 years as a crane operator.
