Todd and Jacque Gibbs, owners of Inter-G Equipment in Longview, Texas, were awarded the JCB full line sales agreement for 14 counties in northeast Texas including Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rains, Rusk, Shelby, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood, according to Andy Henderson, regional marketing manager of JCB.

Todd Gibbs indicated that he and his wife Jacque purchased Lift Truck Specialists, a company that had been in business since 1983, in October 2003.

“Ever since we made the original purchase, we have been on a mission to expand,” said Gibbs. “We changed our company name to Inter-G in 2005 and expanded our product line to include Hyundai Forklifts in 2004 and the Genie/Terex line in 2005.”

During this period of expansion, the company has enjoyed an average annual growth of 40 percent, established 24/7 service availability, assisted in establishing and locating financing for some customers including house financing and just recently moved into its new 19,000 sq. ft. facility in Longview.

“Within the next three years, we have plans to establish facilities in Tyler and Lufkin, Texas, as well as Shreveport, Louisiana,” Gibbs said.

Currently, Inter-G employs 14 people in its Longview facility and plan to add to the staff as they grow.

“We have the philosophy that if you pay your employees well and treat them with the same respect we would expect, then they will stay with you and establish a feeling of loyalty that extends to our customer base,” said Gibbs.
