On June 19, Jeff Martin Auctioneers Inc. held its East Coast Construction Equipment and Attachments auction at their facility in Pelzer, S.C. Three rings were running all day, showcasing available construction and farm equipment, heavy trucks and trailers and more. The event serviced both live bidding customers from the western part of South Carolina and beyond due to the option of participating online at Jeff Martin Auctioneers' website.

In addition to heavy machinery, a handmade wooden American flag was auctioned off to benefit the Tragedy Assistance Program (TAPS), a national organization that offers compassionate care to the families of fallen soldiers. TAPS has provided aid to 85,000 surviving families, casualty officers and caregivers since its establishment in 1994. The brother of Tia Thomas, a valued member of the Jeff Martin Auction Company, was a soldier killed in action on June 20, 2012 near the Pakistani border. CEG

The auction included Cat, John Deere and Komatsu dozers.  

Rafael Maciel of San Jose Farm in Dallas, N.C., looked over several Cat Dozers and decided the D3K LGP machine would suit his needs.  

Matt, Jason and Donald Payne of Dirt Works in Seneca, S.C., planned to bid on this Sakai padfoot roller.  

Case, John Deere and Cat backhoes and wheel loaders were available  

Evan and Gary Justus of Gary Justice & Son Grading in Mt. Rest, S.C., and Olin Parton of Parton Excavating, were looking over the excavators.
