Bringing with him more than 30 years of publishing industry experience, Jim Van Natta recently signed on as Construction Equipment Guide’s Florida regional sales manager. Van Natta handles advertising sales for the construction publication in pennisular Florida, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Well known throughout Florida’s construction industry, Van Natta has spent 20 years in the state, three of those years at his own publication.
Nearly 15 years ago, Van Natta’s publication, Florida Construction News, merged with CEG’s fledgling Southeast edition. Since then, the Southeast edition has seen tremendous growth and welcomes Van Natta’s expertise.
“CEG, with its variety of products and quality of circulation, provides a unique opportunity for companies trying to reach those who use construction equipment,” said Van Natta. “I am looking forward to using my 30 years experience in the industry to help new and existing customers plan and execute comprehensive marketing programs.”
A native of Cumberland, PA, Van Natta piloted a U.S. Army helicopter in the Vietnam War. Out of the military, he worked for eight years at a construction publication covering Alabama and Tennessee. He then spent one year covering Kansas and Missouri before returning to Florida.
“The Florida and Southeast markets continue to grow, and that means suppliers need to put their message in front of potential customers,” said Van Natta.
