JLG Industries Inc.’s new series of self-propelled mast-style boom lifts have a vertical telescoping mast with a jib boom that extends the platform away from the mast.
Coupled with 360-degree pivoting capability, workers have access to hard to reach overhead sites.
With the mast lowered and jib retracted, the lifts become compact units that navigate narrow aisles and tight spaces. They can be driven at speeds up to 2.5 mph (4 kmh) and have 20 percent gradeability.
The JLG Toucan Model E33MJ is one of three machines in the series. It has a 32-ft., 9-in. (9.9 m) working platform height, 14-ft., 6-in. (4.4 m) horizontal outreach with 500-lbs. (227 kg) platform capacity.
In its stowed configuration, it is only 6-ft., 6.5-in. (2 m) high by 47-in. (119 cm) wide.
It is electric powered and has non-marking, lugged tires for both inside and outside operation on improved surfaces.
