JM Wood Holds Three-Day Auction in Montgomery, Alabama

A great onsite and online presence at the recent three-day JM Wood sale on September 17 to 19 at the company's Montgomery, Ala., headquarters facility. The lineup of construction equipment, trucks, trailers and forestry equipment was as strong as ever.

Highlights of construction equipment sale day included a pair of Cat 770 rock trucks from Alabama Power Company. The pair fetched a whopping $610,000 and was sold to buyers in Washington and California. Alabama Power Company also had a nice pair of Cat 631G water wagons which stayed together and were sold to a contractor in Colorado. CEG

Show stoppers here! A pair of Cat 770 off-road trucks brought in a combined final bid of $610,000 and both are headed to the West Coast.

Opening up a Cat 953C crawler loader of interest are Gary Horton (L) and Erwin Horton of Horton Logging, Columbiana, Ala.

Giving this Komatsu WA500 loader their seal of approval and a thumbs up are Efrain Rojas, Jr. (above) and Efrain Rojas, Sr. of Rojas Heavy Equipment, Alamo, Texas.

Talking about the Cat 770 off-road trucks are Scott Crowe (L) of Crowe Equipment, Jasonville, Ind., and Wally Sexton of Sexton Inc., Santa Claus, Ind.

Wrapping up their inspection of a Cat 320EL excavator are Chuck Wigington (L) and his dad, Bob Wigington, of Wigington Contractors, Jasper, Ga.

Checking out several really nice John Deere 650K dozers available in the equipment lineup (L-R) are Willie Jordan of Jordan Timber Co., Calvert, Ala.; Terry Rivers of TLT Timber, McIntosh, Ala.; and Rodney Jordan, also of Jordon Timber Co.
