JM Wood Auction Company Inc. held its largest auction to date during the company's recent four-day construction equipment, truck, agricultural and forestry machine auction at its headquarters facility in Montgomery, Ala., from March 15 to 18.

Bidders from several countries participated in the sale, including United States, Canada, New Zealand, Mexico, Australia, Vietnam, Ghana, Sweden, Chile and Belize.

Featured sellers included Howard Shepherd, Glasgow Construction, Black Sheep Woodlands, Holman Farms, Joe Mcgee Construction, and counties and cities from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida and Tennessee

"This was the largest auction in our company's 43-year history," said Bryant Wood, company president. "It means a lot to us that over 600 sellers trusted us to sell their equipment and trucks in this auction. Equipment prices were strong all four days, and we had record crowd on hand"

Auction highlights included more than 250, 2014 to 2016 Mack and Kenworth vocational trucks, which were sold on the first day of the sale. Also, one the cleanest late-model Caterpillar packages was sold at the auction including a 2010 Cat D7R2, which sold for $300,000, and more than 30 Cat 140M graders brought as much $215,000.

J.M. Wood's next auction will be an onsite auction April 15 to 16 for the Alabama DOT, and then back at the Montgomery facility on June 7 to 9.
