JW Burress has opened its newest location in Greenville, S.C.

The move, said Scott McDougle, general manager in South Carolina, will help the company expand its market and extend its exposure in the upstate.

Burress already has a customer base in the area, for whom the new branch will make life a little easier. Prior to its opening, they dealt with the Columbia, S.C., branch.

Located on 3.5 acres, it is a full-service branch, with parts, sales and service departments. The 8,600-sq.-ft. facility includes two stories of office space, two drive-through service bays and a drive-through wash bay.

McDougle expects to cater to a wide array of customers, including quarries, utility contractors and general contractors.

The branch is being led by Operations Manager John O’Brien. With five years of experience working this territory as a sales representative for Burress, McDougle said O’Brien understands the needs of the customers in upstate South Carolina.

The sales representatives working from this location are Bobby Olsen, who covers Greenville County and points west, and Schad Scott, who covers Spartanburg to Rock Hill.

McDougle said a Greenville-area location was first conceptualized three years ago, but the company decided to make its first move into South Carolina in Charleston.

JW Burress will celebrate the opening of its latest branch with an open house some time in April.
